Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Cloud Governance Platform team. You will design and build core components for cloud IAM, security controls, and software supply‑chain security, across AWS and GCP, taking ownership end‑to‑end.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industry experience in software development.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong programming/coding fundamentals in Golang and Python.
• Deep hands-on expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar).
• Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM systems, threat models, and mitigations.
• Experience designing and operating highly reliable, scalable distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build core components of the Cloud Governance Platform, contributing hands-on to cloud IAM and security controls.
• Contribute to the roadmap for governance and security tooling across AWS and GCP.
• Translate regulatory and compliance requirements into automated, continuously enforced controls.
• Build and maintain software supply-chain security tooling, including SAST, DAST, and secure CI/CD patterns.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, Compliance, and Product Engineering teams to implement cross-functional solutions.
• Share technical knowledge through code reviews, pairing, and daily collaboration.
• Communicate technical approach, tradeoffs, and risks in design docs and discussions.
