Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer II to lead cloud security strategy across AWS, GCP, and self-managed Kubernetes. You will define standards, reference architectures, and drive secure-by-default designs.

You will own threat modeling, detection engineering, and platform security, mentoring engineers and guiding cross-team initiatives end-to-end. This is an IC role with a strong impact on security posture.

Qualifications

• Threat modeling discipline for new cloud technologies and patterns.
• Design secure-by-default cloud architectures with practical controls.
• Drive IAM, RBAC, and least-privilege at scale across AWS and GCP.

Responsibilities

• Define cloud security standards, guardrails, and reference architectures across teams.
• Lead cross-functional security initiatives end-to-end with measurable outcomes.
• Mentor engineers and act as the primary security resource for cloud security.
• Represent cloud security in design forums and translate attack paths into guidance.
