Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a software or security engineer.
• 4+ years of experience securing infrastructure running on AWS and/or GCP at scale.
• Deep experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and Terraform pipelines, SCPs, GCP org policies.
• Experience with cloud security posture management (CSPM) tools such as Wiz; DSPM familiarity.
• Strong understanding of IAM (AWS & GCP) and org-level constraints.
• Experience maturing cloud security posture in large, multi-account/multi-project environments.
• Proven ability to deliver complex, multi-faceted projects from concept to launch.
• Familiar with AI-assisted development tools in production contexts.

Responsibilities

• Architect and evolve cloud security guardrails; design IAM controls and policies.
• Build automation to discover, measure, and contextualize security issues.
• Own the cloud security exception lifecycle at scale.
• Partner with platform teams to eliminate cloud security risk categories.
• Deliver cloud security assurance functions balancing remediation with developer productivity.
• Develop data pipelines and dashboards to surface posture trends for leadership.
• Respond to and triage cloud security alerts; support on-call rotations.
• Produce scalable software for Block's multi-cloud footprint.
