Job summary

Pinterest is seeking a Senior Security Software Engineer to provide technical leadership within Security Operations. You will own and evolve foundational platforms that govern cloud infrastructure, automate security compliance and integrate security reviews into engineering workflows.

The role combines hands-on software and infra engineering with architectural ownership and cross-functional impact, driving secure development across AWS, CI/CD and policy-as-code while applying AI responsibly to

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience designing, building and operating complex security-focused production systems on AWS.
Strong software engineering judgment across system design, APIs, reliability, observability and secure operations.

Responsibilities

Own architecture and direction of Security Operations systems and automation.
Translate security requirements into scalable controls and pave secure paths across AWS, CI/CD, and the SDLC.
Lead cross-functional initiatives from problem definition to adoption and maturity.
Design reliable production services, IaC and policy-as-code for cloud resources.
Improve issue identification and remediation by automating triage and correlating signals.
Set engineering standards and provide guidance for secure systems.
