Job summary

Redox is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to own cloud-native and application security across the platform. This hands‑on IC role focuses on hardening environments, code reviews, and translating control gaps into engineering proposals with production impact.

You’ll embed security into the SDLC, working across container security, Kubernetes hardening, and architecture reviews. The team operates fully remote within the U.S., with strong ownership and transparency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security engineering with hands‑on delivery across hardening and projects.
• Kubernetes security, including network policy, admission control, and container hardening.
• Threat modeling for modern applications (Node.js/TypeScript/Python/Go).
• Secure SDLC and CI/CD safeguards with GitHub Actions for artifact integrity.
• Infrastructure-as-Code hardening (Terraform) and secrets management.
• Experience with HITRUST and SOC 2 frameworks in engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own Cloud Security Posture Management including Kubernetes and Container security practices.
• Lead vulnerability lifecycles and remediation prioritization based on production exposure.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering to secure SDLC and CI/CD safeguards.
• Translate compliance frameworks into actionable technical configurations.
• Evaluate and secure IaC across environments; conduct incident response activities.
• Contribute to security standards through design reviews and mentoring.
