Job summary

Redox Engine is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to own cloud‑native and application security across the platform. You will harden environments, review code, and translate control gaps into engineering actions that deliver production impact.

You will embed security into the SDLC across container security, Kubernetes hardening, and architecture reviews while partnering with engineering teams. This is a remote US‑based role with a strong ownership culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security engineering with hands‑on delivery across system hardening and security projects.
• Strong Kubernetes security capabilities including network policy orchestration and admission control.
• Experience with threat modeling for apps using Node.js/TypeScript/Python/Go.
• Hands‑on experience securing SDLC/CI‑CD with GitHub Actions.
• Direct experience hardening Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform) and managing secrets.
• Ability to translate HITRUST and SOC 2 into practical controls.
• Excellent written communication in a remote, async setup.
• Familiarity with AI tools and automation using large language models.

Responsibilities

• Own Cloud Security Posture Management including Kubernetes and container security.
• Manage vulnerability lifecycles with production‑focused remediation.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering to support secure SDLC and CI/CD safeguards.
• Translate HITRUST and SOC 2 into actionable configurations and controls.
• Evaluate and secure infrastructure‑as‑code across environments.
• Execute incident response duties and blameless post‑mortems.
• Contribute to security standards through design reviews and mentoring.
• Support bug bounty triage and engagement with external researchers.
