Job summary

Fuze Health is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to align security controls across multiple teams, review architectures, and implement automation. You will help secure Kubernetes environments, design cloud and on-prem security controls, and contribute to audits and compliance.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in security engineering, strong scripting skills, and familiarity with CIS/NIST/OWASP. Travel within the US may be required, and a BS degree is expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of security engineering experience focusing on infrastructure, application, and cloud security.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes (K8s) and container security in production.
• Proficient in scripting/automation (Python, Bash, Terraform or similar).
• Strong communication and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
• Experience building security systems in cloud and on-prem.
• Familiar with CIS benchmarks, NIST, OWASP.
• Willingness to travel within the US (minimal travel).
• BS degree in CS or related field.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, GIAC, OSCP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with teams to promote strong security controls and conduct architectural reviews.
• Review designs to assess security posture and advise on threat modeling.
• Develop automation to integrate security systems across platforms.
• Write documentation including policies and procedures.
• Oversee vulnerability scanning across environments (network, cloud, containers).
• Design and implement security controls for servers, cloud, and containers.
• Support audits and compliance initiatives (HiTrust, ISO 27001).
• Participate in on-call rotations as needed.
