Job summary

Trader Joe's in Monrovia, CA, is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to safeguard our enterprise Cloud and hybrid environments. The role focuses on designing and implementing security controls, identity protection, and secure cloud configurations.

You will work with Cybersecurity, Cloud Engineering, and Infrastructure teams to strengthen security posture, automate controls, and enable secure cloud adoption across our systems. This position requires in-office presence five days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, Cloud security, or infrastructure security.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure security architecture, cloud networking, identity integration, and workload protection.
• Experience with security platforms like Defender for Cloud or Prisma Cloud.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust, least privilege, network segmentation, and data protection.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and improve security controls across Microsoft Azure and hybrid Cloud environments.
• Engineer and optimize cloud security technologies such as Defender for Cloud and Prisma Cloud.
• Establish secure Cloud configuration standards, policies, and guardrails.
• Collaborate with Cloud Engineering to assess new services and integrate security controls.
• Develop automation to improve security posture and remediation workflows.
• Partner with Identity, Network, and Data teams to enforce strong access and data protection.
