Job summary

Recology is seeking a senior security engineer to advance our cloud security posture across Azure, AWS, and GCP. You will design controls, define baselines, and guide security reviews with IT and engineering teams.

The role emphasizes threat detection, incident response, and the integration of security into migrations and deployment. Hybrid work with three days in the office and two days remote in Sacramento.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in information security with hands-on Azure cloud experience.
• 5+ years across GCP, AWS, and Azure in enterprise environments.
• Familiar with NIST CSF, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and CCPA compliance.
• Strong collaboration with IT, engineering and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Designs, implements, and manages cloud security controls across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Embeds security into architecture, migration, and deployment processes.
• Maintains cloud security baselines, guardrails, and configuration standards.
• Configures native cloud security services and supports threat detection.
• Participates in incident response, threat modeling, and security validation.
