Motion Recruitment is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to advance automated controls, compliance monitoring, and governance across cloud environments. You will design scalable tooling and real-time visibility into control effectiveness, partnering with cloud engineering, audit, and risk management teams to meet regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Strong experience securing AWS and/or Azure cloud environments.
• Experience implementing cloud security controls and compliance frameworks.
• Knowledge of cloud governance and configuration management principles.
• Experience with security automation and policy enforcement tools.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform.
• Understanding of cloud logging, monitoring, and reporting platforms.
• Experience developing scripts using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Knowledge of regulatory and security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, SOC 2, or ISO 27001.
• Experience with vulnerability management and cloud security assessments.

Responsibilities

• Develop automated controls that validate cloud security configurations and policies.
• Build monitoring solutions that measure security control effectiveness across cloud environments.
• Create tooling that identifies and remediates compliance gaps.
• Partner with engineering teams to implement standardized security baselines.
• Automate evidence collection and reporting for security and audits.
• Assess cloud resources against established security policies and standards.
• Develop dashboards and security metrics for visibility into posture and risk.
• Support internal and external audit activities with technical validation and reporting.
• Evaluate emerging cloud services for alignment with security requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of cloud security standards and automation capabilities.
