Motion Recruitment is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer for a Boston-based investment management firm. You will build automated security controls, improve cloud resilience, and partner with SRE and platform teams to strengthen reliability across cloud environments.

The role emphasizes automation, observability, and strong engineering practice to reduce downtime and enable secure, scalable operations. 8+ years in cloud security and relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 8+ years in cloud security, platform engineering, or infrastructure security.
• Strong experience with production-grade cloud environments and automation.

Responsibilities

• Develop automated security controls to improve cloud resilience.
• Engineer solutions reducing operational risk and improving recoverability.
• Build automated remediation workflows for security and infra issues.
• Partner with platform teams to bolster cloud reliability and fault tolerance.
• Improve monitoring, alerting, and observability across critical systems.
• Conduct resilience assessments and identify improvement areas.
• Support incident response activities and post-incident remediation.
• Automate security validation and compliance checks across resources.
• Design secure backup, recovery, and continuity for cloud workloads.
