Job summary

Comcast is seeking a Senior Software Engineer on the Cloud Security Engineering team to design, build, and operate reliable software platforms. You will translate complex findings into actionable workflows and automation, owning major technical areas end-to-end in a production environment.

You will design scalable systems, lead architectural decisions, and contribute hands-on in Python, FastAPI, and cloud-native tooling.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with ownership of production systems.
• Strong system design and architecture experience.
• Experience with Python backend engineering and API design.
• Experience with public cloud environments such as AWS.
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD, automated testing, and production deployments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design of complex, scalable, distributed systems.
• Translate ambiguous problems into practical architecture and implementation plans.
• Build and maintain production-quality backend services using Python and FastAPI.
• Design relational data models and manage PostgreSQL schemas and data lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentorship across the team.
