Benchmark IT - Technology Talent is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Architect for a remote United States-based long-term contract. The role focuses on shaping security for cloud-based applications and platforms across enterprise environments.

You will design secure architectures, embed security into the SDLC, and lead security initiatives with cross-functional teams. Strong cloud, security framework knowledge, and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience across security architecture, cloud security, application security, threat modeling, identity and authentication, penetration testing, cryptography, or network security.

Responsibilities

• Design secure, scalable cloud and application architectures.
• Develop security frameworks, standards, threat models, and architectural blueprints.
• Partner with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to embed security throughout the development lifecycle.
• Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions.
• Conduct security assessments and risk analyses, documenting risks and mitigating controls.
• Guide development teams and provide technical leadership on application, identity, network, and cloud security.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend security improvements.
