Job summary

CDM Smith in the United States is seeking a Senior Security Architect to lead the architecture of public, private, and hybrid clouds, designing secure infrastructure and applications that align with business and cybersecurity strategies.

You will mentor junior staff, collaborate with IT and development leadership, and ensure compliance with regulations (CMMC, NIST). Domestic/international travel may be required; the position supports remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 5 years of related experience.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Architect secure multi-cloud vision for public, private and hybrid clouds.
• Advise Cloud team on secure deployments and configurations.
• Review architecture plans with Enterprise Architecture group.
• Lead security architecture design for SaaS, PaaS and IaaS.
• Provide guidance on secure design, build, testing and deployment across cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with security, architecture and engineering leadership.
• Identify and enforce enterprise standards for secure, resilient solutions.
• Serve as escalation point for problem resolution, including incident response.
• Identify risk-related issues and architect solutions to avoid incidents.
• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge.
• Create architecture policies aligning with cybersecurity and resiliency best practices.
• Draft cybersecurity strategies aligning with regulations (CMMC, NIST).
• Design security for monitoring, IAM, encryption, data protection and controls.
• Oversee compensating controls for vulnerability management.
• Orchestrate scalable, resilient containerized microservices.
