Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Security Architect to lead the architecture of public, private, and hybrid clouds. You will design secure infrastructure and applications aligned with business and cybersecurity strategies in a fast-paced environment.

You will mentor junior staff, guide deployments across SaaS, PaaS and IaaS, and collaborate with IT and application leadership to elevate the company’s security posture while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Architect secure public, private and hybrid clouds.
• Advise our Cloud team on secure deployments and configurations.
• Review architecture plans with Enterprise Architecture group.
• Lead security architecture design for SaaS, PaaS and IaaS.
• Provide guidance on secure design, build, testing and deployment across cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with security, architecture and engineering leadership to support business objectives.
• Identify and enforce enterprise standards to support secure, resilient and compliant solutions.
• Serve as SME and escalation point for incident resolution.
• Identify risk-related issues and architect solutions to avoid security incidents.
• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge with technical leads.
• Create architecture policies aligning with cybersecurity and resiliency best practices.
• Draft cybersecurity strategies to comply with regulations (CMMC, NIST).
• Design security for monitoring, logging, IAM, encryption, data protection.
• Ensure configurations are aligned and implemented.
• Oversee vulnerability management controls.
• Orchestrate scalable, resilient containerized microservices.
