Job summary

CrowdStrike, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Developer in Test (SDET) to join a hybrid team focused on building and validating testing tooling and frameworks for Lightning services.

You will lead end-to-end validation across cloud and endpoint interactions, guide design reviews, and expand test coverage while collaborating across teams to ensure low-latency, scalable security outcomes. Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience as SDET or Backend Developer (combined).
• Experience building testing frameworks and tooling for a Cloud SaaS product or SOA.
• Experience contributing to or defining testing strategy at team or organizational level.
• Strong debugging skills: spot design flaws, race conditions, performance bottlenecks.
• Expertise in Go, Python, Java, Kotlin, Rust, or C/C++; Go is primary.
• Experience with cloud distributed systems: Kubernetes, Cassandra, Redis, Kafka, etc.
• Experience with distributed systems and scalability challenges.
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS or GCP.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing in deployment workflows.
• Experience developing and deploying in Docker/Kubernetes.
• Experience mentoring engineers and driving quality culture.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end validation of Lightning services across cloud-side and Falcon Sensor interactions.
• Build and own Lightning-specific test tooling and frameworks.
• Define and drive testing strategies across functional, performance, contract, and chaos testing.
• Guide technical design reviews to ensure testability, quality and code hygiene.
• Contribute to service operations, improving observability and root cause analysis.
• Leverage open source solutions to build new testing tools.
