Job summary

Fidelity Investments seeks a Director of Architecture to oversee distributed systems in a cloud environment (AWS/Azure) and lead CI/CD pipelines using Maven and Git. You will guide APIs, microservices, data architecture, security, and scalable solutions, while directing cross-team collaboration with business partners and technology teams.

As a senior architect, you will set strategy, standards, and choose technologies, mentoring multiple teams and advising senior management on technology

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and six years of experience as a Director, Architecture in financial services.
• Or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and four years of experience as a Director, Architecture in financial services.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership to product teams through architecture designs and standards.
• Collaborates with business and technology teams to align architecture with objectives.
• Establishes direction, standards, and selects technologies.
• Analyzes business direction to enable strategic technical solutions.
• Leads technology evaluations, configurations, and governance across groups.
• Designs and modifies complex software systems.
• Directs testing, validation, programming and documentation.
• Mentors teams and plans organization-wide initiatives.
• Advises senior management on technical strategy.
• Researches new technologies and opportunities.
