Job summary

Loftware is hiring a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer to join a 24x7 cloud team. You will own automation, monitoring, and reliability across AWS and Azure, build scalable IaC with Terraform/Ansible, and lead incident response in production environments.

Ideal candidates will have 8+ years in cloud ops or SRE, strong Linux/Windows expertise, and excellent English communication. Hybrid work in Portsmouth, NH or remote for US-based candidates.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in cloud operations, SRE, or infrastructure engineering.
• Deep experience with Linux and/or Windows server environments.
• Proven experience leading operational initiatives in production environments.
• Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
• Preferred: scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, .NET/C#, PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Own and enhance monitoring, observability, and alerting frameworks across AWS, Azure, and other platforms.
• Define SLIs/SLOs and drive reliability improvements.
• Architect and maintain scalable, reusable IaC solutions using Terraform, Terragrunt, and Ansible.
• Champion automation-first approaches to reduce manual tasks.
• Design and enforce cloud security best practices, governance, and compliance standards.
