Job summary

Western National Group & Umialik Insurance is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer III to design, implement, and monitor scalable platform infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments. You will work with product teams to improve deployment, stability, and reliability, while leveraging automation and IaC to drive efficiency.

The role requires strong Linux, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD expertise, plus a collaborative mindset.

• Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple priorities.
• Proven ability to collaborate with product teams and other groups.
• Intermediate knowledge of project methodologies at product-team level.
• Clear written and verbal communication with technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Advanced proficiency with AWS cloud services and related tooling.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code concepts and tools.

Responsibilities

• Designs, deploys, and maintains scalable platform infrastructure across cloud and on-premise environments.
• Participates in work refinement and estimation with product teams.
• Uses modern delivery tech to assist deployments and automate processes.
• Maintains documentation and facilitates knowledge sharing.
• Monitors, resolves, and prevents outages and performance issues.
• Leads troubleshooting of urgent production issues.
• Collaborates with Security Office on best practices.
• Supports hybrid and remote work arrangements.
