Job summary

HME is seeking a Senior Software QA Engineer - Cloud to support testing, modification, and QA of software/ firmware products. You will lead medium to complex projects, develop test plans and automation scripts, and ensure compliance with product requirements from concept to release.

The role requires 5+ years of related experience and a Bachelor's degree. Responsibilities include test strategy definition, functional and regression testing, and collaboration across teams in a cloud environment.

Qualifications

• Familiar with object-oriented and structured software design methods.
• Capable of C/C++/C# coding for host and cross-compiler based applications.
• Familiar with Microsoft Azure, real-time multitasking operating systems and capable of testing them.
• Familiar with debugger tools.
• Familiar with test development framework and tools.
• Proficient with word processing, spreadsheets and database software.
• Proficient in testing user interfaces.
• Proficient in communication and writing skills.
• Able to learn new skills for Cloud software, PC and embedded applications.

Responsibilities

• Guide a test team from project conception to delivery.
• Define test strategies and approaches for a project.
• Develop test plans covering functional, regression, performance, load, smoke, and deployment testing.
• Design, develop, maintain, execute, and report on test cases for product releases.
• Perform gray-box testing to reveal design and implementation issues.
• Define and perform functional, system, integration and regression tests.
• Use debugging tools to validate software applications.
• Become familiar with current and future HME products.
• Use bug tracking systems to track bugs lifecycle.
• Develop automation programs and scripts to assist testing.
