Job summary

NetApp is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to advance cloud-native infrastructure, software-defined storage, and virtualization platforms across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI. Qualifications

• 8+ years of systems software engineering or related field.
• Strong C/C++ and Python programming skills.
• Deep OS internals, concurrency, memory management experience.
• Hands-on with SD storage, distributed storage, or enterprise infra.
• Experience with virtualization including KVM/QEMU, libvirt, virtio.
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize components across the storage and virtualization stack.
• Contribute to multiple technical areas including storage, networking, and cloud infrastructure.
• Develop Linux user-space and kernel-space software for storage subsystems.
• Collaborate with cloud providers and engineering teams on scalable infrastructure.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in code/design reviews.
• Engage in all phases of the product lifecycle from architecture to customer issue resolution.
