Job summary

NetApp is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the Cloud Storage org, working across AWS, Azure, and GCP to deliver scalable SaaS applications built on cutting-edge architecture. You will decompose complex problems, define system interdependencies, and apply engineering best practices with emphasis on fault-tolerance, performance, and security.

The role requires 15+ years in software development and 7+ years in cloud-native designs; hybrid in-office expectations are part of the recruitment

Qualifications

• 15+ years in software development.
• 7+ years in fault-tolerant, scalable cloud architectures.
• Experience with cloud-native services on at least one hyperscaler (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong architectural judgment and system-design expertise.
• Ability to provide direction while contributing to implementation and reviews.
• Excellent communication with customers, stakeholders, and teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the most challenging cloud storage projects across AWS, Azure and GCP.
• Decompose complex problems into scalable, robust solutions and define interdependencies.
• Set technical direction and oversee implementation, design and code reviews across teams.
