Job summary

Flagstar Bank seeks a Sr. Cloud Platform Engineer to collaborate with peers to design, deploy, debug, and monitor cloud solutions. You will manage cloud environments per security guidelines, develop best practices, educate teams, and advise on cloud initiatives to keep the bank aligned with cloud technologies.

You will support a scalable, secure cloud stack, automate deployments, and participate in cross‑functional teams to ensure compliant, reliable services.

Qualifications

• Education in computer science or related field required.
• 10+ years IT systems engineering experience with 5+ years cloud experience.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Cloud certifications such as AWS Architect or SysOps, ITIL Foundation desirable.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure management across on‑prem and cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Architect, build, scale and secure middle tier infrastructure with automation.
• Manage digital certificates and PKI hardware devices.
• Lead troubleshooting and ensure architecture best practices across teams.
• Enforce security standards, regulatory compliance, and policy adherence.
• Maintain compliance training and stay updated on regulations.
