Job summary

ITHAKA is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to advance how software is built, delivered, and experienced across our product engineering org. You will design, build, and operate internal and external-facing infrastructure, focusing on developer experience and operational excellence.

The role emphasizes collaboration, mentoring, and shaping engineering practices as part of the Technology Enabling Services team.

Qualifications

5+ years as a platform or infrastructure engineer delivering large-scale systems.
Strong written and verbal communication to audiences from engineers to leaders.
Demonstrated product and systems thinking.
Ability to steer near-term work while shaping long-term strategy.
Ability to cadence system upgrades with minimal disruption.
Proficient building cloud infra in AWS.
Experience configuring CDNs/edge networks (Fastly/CloudFront/Cloudflare).
IaC with Terraform favored.
Experience operating containerized apps with Kubernetes.
Proficiency in Python or Go.
Experience with observability stacks (OpenTelemetry, Grafana).
Familiar with cloud security like WAFs.

Design IAM solutions with low operational overhead.
Create safe self-service provisioning and access for resources.
Provision infra cost-effectively and build visibility tools for teams.
Own reliability and resiliency of core infrastructure.
