Job summary

MariaDB is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build robust cloud infrastructure for a globally deployed relational database engine. You will design application layers, business logic, and APIs across data management and cloud operations, owning features end-to-end.

Proficiency in Terraform is required; experience across AWS, GCP, and Azure is highly valued. Remote US work option with a focus on scalable, production-grade systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with data-intensive or enterprise software focus.
• End-to-end ownership of a production feature or module.
• Hands-on production experience across at least two major clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with vector databases or RAG systems is a plus.
• Experience building LLM-based applications or agent workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate multi-cloud infrastructure at scale across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Lead features from whiteboard to production with ownership and rigorous testing.
• Write clean, scalable code and manage Cloud orchestration.
• Develop REST and/or gRPC APIs for external consumption.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for automated, scalable deployments.
