As a senior backend engineer, you will drive architectural decisions, mentor colleagues, and collaborate across teams to define APIs and data models while ensuring high operational standards in production environments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of backend design and production experience.
• Strong knowledge of Python runtime environments.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, Java, or C/C++.
• Experience with public clouds and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Technical leadership and cross-team collaboration.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with observability and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the design and implementation of complex backend services and systems in a cloud-native, microservices-based environment.
• Make architecture and technical decisions balancing reliability, scalability, performance, and operability.
• Drive projects end to end from requirements and design through implementation, rollout, and production.
• Improve service reliability and operations by defining SLOs/SLAs and strengthening observability.
• Collaborate across teams to define APIs, integration points, and data models.
• Identify and drive platform and productivity improvements for the engineering org.
• Mentor engineers through code and design reviews, contributing to high technical standards.
