Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Cloud Platform Infrastructure Engineer to build and optimize cloud-native systems in Austin, TX. You will work on Kubernetes clusters, Terraform-based IaC, and a fast-moving Agile team to deliver scalable infrastructure while collaborating with a global team.

The role emphasizes security reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement in a dynamic, high-impact environment. A strong background in Go, Python, and cloud tooling is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience with large-scale infrastructure in production.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, Bash, C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes (cluster lifecycle, networking, upgrades) and Docker.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Experience working within an Agile development framework.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.

Responsibilities

• Build, optimize, and manage cloud-native systems such as Kubernetes clusters and cloud resources.
• Document, maintain, improve, and validate work products.
• Participate in agile development process as part of a scrum team including planning and retrospectives.
• Coordinate and participate in cyber security reviews.
• Coordinate and participate in architecture reviews.
• Work with global team to execute project initiatives.
