Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer for a contract role in the Phoenix area. The position focuses on AWS cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, security, and operational excellence across mission-critical systems.

You will migrate critical apps from on-prem to AWS, build cloud-native infrastructure, and enhance observability and disaster recovery in a highly regulated environment. Hybrid schedule with three onsite days weekly.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Cloud Engineering/DevOps roles with hands-on AWS.
• Experience with PCI-DSS, SOC 2, FFIEC security/compliance.
• Experience migrating on-prem to AWS and cloud modernization.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize cloud-native infrastructure on AWS.
• Maintain security, compliance controls and observability.
• Implement Terraform IaC and support 24/7 on-call rotation.
