Job summary

Motion Recruitment Partners LLC in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer for a contract engagement on a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite per week). You will help migrate on‑premise systems to AWS and build secure, scalable cloud infrastructure with Terraform, EKS, and CI/CD pipelines.

You will collaborate with infrastructure, security, and compliance teams to improve reliability, observability, and cost efficiency while supporting a large-scale cloud transformation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of Cloud Engineering or DevOps experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience.
• Strong expertise with AWS services including EC2, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, and IAM.
• Experience administering Kubernetes environments, particularly EKS.
• Strong Linux administration experience and hands-on Docker experience.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Knowledge of PCI-DSS, SOC 2, FFIEC or similar compliance frameworks.
• Experience building observability and monitoring solutions for large-scale environments.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support migration of on-premises applications and data to AWS.
• Automate infrastructure with Terraform and manage CI/CD pipelines.
• Strengthen observability and monitor production systems at scale.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, compliance, and application teams.
• Ensure security, reliability, and cost-efficiency in cloud-native solutions.
