Job summary

Starbucks is seeking a senior Software Engineer to contribute to the Engineering Platform by delivering reliable, secure, and high-quality technologies. As a technical leader, you will plan, deliver, and operate solutions across platform teams, shaping technology strategy and roadmaps for new and existing capabilities.

You will collaborate with platform engineering, business partners, and security teams to ensure high availability, compliance, and scalable cloud-based solutions using AWS/Azure

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 4–8 years of professional software development experience.

Responsibilities

• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships with business and technology partners.
• Support development teams by resolving issues promptly and accurately.
• Design and maintain build and release processes.
• Develop telemetry and monitoring capabilities to ensure system performance and continuity.
• Maintain system configurations and baselines to support secure development practices.
• Uphold company policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI).
