Job summary

Lambda, The Superintelligence Cloud, is seeking a Senior or Staff Software Engineer to design and operate distributed cloud services powering GPU-based AI workloads in our Cloud Services Engineering org. You will own full lifecycle from design to on-call, contribute to platform capabilities, and collaborate with product, infrastructure, and SRE teams to deliver reliable, scalable AI cloud services.

This role requires 7+ years of experience, deep Go/Python skills, and the ability to work in

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in Go or Python and ability to reason about concurrency and testing.
• Experience designing, building, and operating backend services and distributed systems at scale.
• Strong understanding of system design, data models, APIs, and production reliability.
• Proven track record delivering complex work end-to-end including testing and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate cloud services, APIs, control planes, and platform capabilities.
• Solve distributed-systems problems involving state, concurrency, and failure recovery.
• Own full engineering lifecycle from problem framing to rollout and monitoring.
• Improve availability, latency, throughput, and security as the platform grows.
• Mentor teammates and, at Staff level, lead cross-team architecture.
