Job summary

Rocket Close is seeking a seasoned software engineer to design, develop, and modify software across .NET, JavaScript, Python, and PostgreSQL while building scalable back-end services. You will translate business requirements into scalable software and lead automated testing efforts to ensure quality.

You will participate in design reviews, mentor teammates, and help deploy via Azure DevOps pipelines, leveraging Claude AI to boost efficiency. On-call rotations may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development and design.
• 5+ years of experience in database management with PostgreSQL.
• Heavy expertise in .NET and AWS technologies.
• Proficiency with JavaScript, Python, and PostgreSQL.
• Strong experience with IaC and CloudWatch for monitoring.
• Experience with Azure DevOps for pipeline management and CI/CD.
• Experience using Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Experience with GitHub for version control and collaboration.
• Proficiency with AI tools and Claude for development workflows.
• Experience translating business requirements into scalable software.
• Strong understanding of software testing frameworks and automated testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, or modify software using .NET, JavaScript, Python, PostgreSQL as needed.
• Develop and maintain back-end services with focus on integration and scalability.
• Modify existing software to fix errors and update integrations.
• Analyze user needs to determine how software should be built or modified.
• Develop and/or perform automated testing procedures and frameworks.
• Translate business requirements into usable, scalable software.
• Understand data outputs and their capabilities/limitations.
• Participate in design and code reviews.
• Assist with delivery estimates.
• Manage deployment processes using Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Leverage Claude AI for development efficiency and problem-solving.
• Mentor other team members.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support production systems.
