Job summary

Systematix is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer – AI & Data to design and build the foundational cloud platform supporting enterprise AI, ML, data science and scientific computing initiatives for a key client. This role is 100% remote, in the Eastern time zone.

You will act as architect and hands-on builder, establishing technical foundation and engineering practices for a broader enterprise platform engineering capability, focusing on automated, code-driven infrastructure and

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on Azure cloud engineering experience in complex enterprise environments.
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Azure-native tools.
• Proven track record designing reusable enterprise cloud platforms.
• Strong cloud architecture and Platform Engineering experience.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience building self-service infrastructure and developer platforms.
• Strong CI/CD and Git-based engineering practices.
• Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into scalable solutions.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable Azure infrastructure for AI and data workloads.
• Transform manual cloud provisioning into automated IaC.
• Develop reusable platform components and architecture patterns.
• Implement self-service platform capabilities for AI/ML teams.
• Collaborate with MLOps, DevOps, SRE teams to unify platform.
• Embed security and governance into platform components.
• Establish CI/CD and Git-based workflows for cloud infra.
• Provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on.
• Drive standardization and modernization of cloud architecture.
