Job summary

GEICO is seeking a Distinguished Engineer to define and lead the next generation of data center networking for private cloud, Platform Engineering, AI/ML, and enterprise apps. You will architect hyperscale, software-defined networks with automation and API-driven platforms across on‑prem and hybrid cloud environments.

You will mentor senior engineers and shape GEICO's long-term technology strategy while partnering with Infrastructure, Security, Cloud, and Platform teams for resilient, scalable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 15+ years of networking, infrastructure, or cloud engineering experience (preferred).
• Experience designing enterprise or hyperscale network architectures.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term architectural vision for GEICO's data center network infrastructure.
• Lead architecture reviews and drive roadmaps for network modernization.
• Design scalable Layer 3 Clos fabrics and SDN platforms.
• Partner with OpenStack, Kubernetes, storage, and security teams.
• Mentor senior engineers across multiple organizations.
