Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Principal Systems/Software Engineer for Cloud & On-Premise Software Testing. Hybrid role with 2 days per week in an HPE office, located in United States/PR, San Juan.

The engineer will own end-to-end quality validation for Security Director Cloud and On-Prem, designing and executing tests across cloud-native and virtualized deployments. The ideal candidate has 8–10 years of testing networking and security products, strong Python and Playwright skills, and

Qualifications

Broad understanding of networking, virtualization, and firewall concepts.
Strong knowledge of networking, including WAN, LAN, TCP/IP, firewalls, load balancers, IPv4/IPv6.
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud platform.
Solid Kubernetes, containers, and microservices experience.
Proficiency in Python and Playwright for UI automation.
Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end quality validation for Security Director Cloud and Security Director On-Prem.
Design and execute functional, system, integration, security, performance, and regression testing across cloud-native and virtualized deployments.
Expand Python- and Playwright-based automation.
Develop and execute test strategies, test cases, and test scripts for cloud firewall solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and design comprehensive test plans.
Generate detailed test reports and documentation with outcomes and recommendations.
