Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise in San Juan, Puerto Rico, is seeking a Senior Systems/Software Engineer for Cloud & On-Premise Software Development. This role is designed as Hybrid with ~2 days per week in an HPE office, enabling collaboration across cloud-native and on-prem solutions.

You will own modules end-to-end, design robust software, and work with globally distributed teams, applying microservices and cloud technologies to secure and optimize enterprise platforms.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of software development experience.
• Experience with cloud-native microservices.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Experience with distributed/global teams.
• Knowledge of network management or security domain is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Owns and maintains multiple modules end-to-end.
• Designs and debugs software in cloud and on-premise contexts.
• Reviews designs for quality and standards.
• Works with global teams across time zones.
• Mentors junior engineers.
