Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company is seeking a Senior Systems/Software Engineer for Cloud & On-Premise Software Development in a hybrid role, requiring two days per week in an HPE office. The role focuses on leading modules end-to-end within a cloud-native security platform for enterprise environments.

The candidate should have extensive cloud product experience, strong debugging and software design skills, and a track record of working across geographically distributed teams.

Qualifications

• Experience building Cloud products with microservices architecture.
• Strong cloud applications knowledge.
• Excellent analytical and debugging skills.
• Experience designing software systems and tooling.
• Proven ability to work with distributed teams across time zones.
• Own and maintain multiple modules.
• Strong communication in English.
• Degree in CS or Engineering; 6-10 years experience.

Responsibilities

• Owns and responsible for one or more modules end-to-end of the product.
• Strong code debugging and software design skills at module level and should be able to work on multiple modules/features.
• Identifies and evaluates new technologies, innovations, and outsourced development partner relationships for alignment with technology roadmap and business value; creates plans for integration and update into architecture.
• Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk.
• Ensure high-quality software delivery by writing robust Unit Test cases, improving code coverage through automation, validating new and existing functionality, and documenting and executing functional test cases prior to QA handoff.
• Leverages recognized domain expertise, experience to influence decisions of technical leadership, outsourced development partners, and industry standards groups.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members to set an example of software systems design and development innovation and excellence.
