Job summary

Emerging Tech in Washington, DC, seeks a Senior Network & Cloud Architect to lead OCI network design, security, and healthcare IT integrations for the VA EHRM program. The role requires hands-on cloud networking, VA EHRM experience, and a strong emphasis on observability and reliability.

You will design OCI network infrastructures, secure cross‑environment connectivity, and implement telemetry with Splunk, Grafana, and CrowdStrike.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
• 8–12+ years network/infrastructure experience.
• 5+ years hands-on cloud networking.
• OCI experience with VCNs, subnets, gateways, DRG, NSGs, flow logs.
• Direct VA EHRM or related program experience.
• Healthcare IT with HL7 v2, FHIR, interfaces, and EHR platforms.
• Experience with Splunk and OCI Logging.
• Experience with CrowdStrike Falcon or similar.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust, IAM, NIST SP 800-207 and SP 800-53.
• Strong technical documentation and network diagramming.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain OCI network infrastructure (VCNs, subnets, gateways, DRG, NSGs, flow logs).
• Support secure connectivity between OCI and on‑prem environments.
• Create network architecture diagrams and address plans.
• Implement logging, monitoring, dashboards, alarms, telemetry across cloud, network, app, security.
• Use OCI Logging, Splunk, CrowdStrike, Grafana, Prometheus for observability.
• Monitor and troubleshoot HL7/FHIR interfaces and integrations.
• Support Zero Trust, IAM, and security controls per NIST/CISA.
• Analyze network issues and improve resiliency and performance.
• Support go-live activities and ongoing operations.
• Collaborate with interface, infrastructure, cybersecurity, identity, and program teams.
