Job summary

HUB International is seeking a Software Architect to design and build cloud-native backend services in Python, leading architecture across Azure and/or AWS. You will drive AI-driven automation and guide teams from discovery through delivery, collaborating with stakeholders and vendors to align solutions with business needs.

You will mentor developers, set coding standards, and stay current with backend trends and agentic AI tooling while delivering scalable, cost-efficient systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with Python.
• Hands-on cloud architecture experience in Azure and/or AWS.
• Experience designing cloud-native backend services and APIs.
• Strong background in Python ecosystems (FastAPI/Django, SQLAlchemy, Pydantic, Celery, pytest).
• Experience leading Agile/Scrum teams and collaborating with business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and development of cloud-native backend services and microservices.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements for scalable solutions.
• Drive AI-driven automation pipelines and agent orchestration frameworks.
• Establish coding standards and lead peer reviews in Python.
• Communicate tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders and guide delivery.
