Job summary

State Street is seeking an experienced Cloud Native Platform Engineer to automate and streamline operations, build deployment tooling, and enhance observability across development, test, and production environments.

The role focuses on Azure Kubernetes Service, multi-region deployments, and DevOps practices, with collaboration across engineering, architecture, and client teams to deliver scalable, secure cloud-native platforms.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Kubernetes, containers, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on with Azure AKS and multi-cloud exposure (AWS/GCP).
• Strong experience with DevOps tooling and IaC (ArgoCD, Terraform, Azure DevOps).
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate enterprise-grade AKS platforms for critical workloads.
• Manage multi-cluster, multi-region deployments with HA and DR.
• Lead platform lifecycle, upgrades, patching, and hardening.
• Implement GitOps-based deployments with ArgoCD and CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop IaC for Azure resources and AKS provisioning using Terraform.
• Improve observability and reliability with metrics, tracing, and SLIs/SLOs.
• Collaborate across Product, Architecture, and Client teams.
