CVS Health is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Atlanta to design, build, and scale cloud-native microservices using Java/JEE, Spring Boot, and Kafka. You will own API governance, drive data migration efforts, and implement SecDevOps practices in a healthcare context.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 5+ years with developing applications within Java/JEE, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, RESTful microservices.
• 3+ years of Apache Kafka (event streaming, partitions, consumer groups, schema registry).
• 3+ years CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, automated testing.
• 3+ years Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud orchestration.
• 2+ years hands-on experience with Cloud (GCP, AWS, Azure).

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop high-performance microservices using Java, JEE, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
• Lead development of event-driven services using Apache Kafka (producers, consumers, streaming patterns, schema evolution).
• Own API strategy for RESTful services, ensuring consistent JSON modeling, backward-compatible versioning, and strong API governance.
• Mentor team members and contribute to engineering standards, design reviews, and coding best practices.
