Job summary

CVS Health Digital seeks a Senior Software Development Engineer to lead the design and development of scalable cloud-native solutions using Java/JEE, Spring Boot, and Kafka. You will drive API strategies, mentor engineers, and ensure secure, compliant data flows within healthcare contexts.

Strong experience in data migration, ETL pipelines, and DevOps practices is required, with preference for GCP and HL7/FHIR knowledge.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 5+ years with Java/JEE, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, RESTful microservices.
• 3+ years of Apache Kafka experience.
• 3+ years CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, automated testing.
• 3+ years Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud orchestration.
• 2+ years hands‑on experience with Cloud (GCP/AWS/Azure).

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop high-performance microservices using Java/JEE, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud (RESTful).
• Lead development of event-driven services using Apache Kafka and schema evolution.
• Own API strategy for RESTful services with versioning and governance.
• Mentor team members and contribute to engineering standards and reviews.
• Design and implement ETL pipelines and data migration efforts.
• Deploy and operate services on cloud platforms with CI/CD and SecDevOps practices.
