Job summary

VETRO FiberMap, Inc. in Portland, Maine is seeking a Senior Product Engineer with full-stack capabilities to design and implement features for the VETRO broadband platform. You will work under the VP of Engineering to deliver GIS-based fiber management software for global customers.

The role requires shipping cloud-native applications, strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, and the ability to translate product requirements into scalable software. Hybrid Portland HQ or remote-ready.

Qualifications

• 5+ years developing and shipping cloud-native applications.
• 2+ years with Vue/React or similar frameworks.
• 5+ years experience with large relational datasets.
• Solid understanding of cloud services (AWS preferred).
• Ability to break down product requirements into deliverable software.
• Enthusiasm to work on new things and contribute.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop features for the web-based fiber management platform powering the VETRO broadband platform.
• Tackle GIS-based systems including tile servers, fiber network models, and interactive maps.
• Develop web services extending the VETRO platform to other critical systems.
• Support production systems by triaging bugs and performance issues; participate in on-call rotations.
