Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in design, development, and support of cloud-based software or infrastructure
• Strong experience with cloud-based microservices architectures
• Proficiency in GCP cloud performance and services
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Knowledge of IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Experience with Java, PHP, or Python
• Working knowledge of relational DBs like DB2/SQL Server

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy event driven microservices on GCP
• Design scalable, reliable, and high-performance microservices architectures
• Provide rationale for technology choices for standard patterns
• Design and consume pub/sub messages
• Containerize services with Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes
• Optimize performance and troubleshoot scalability, availability, and latency issues
• Collaborate with DevOps to automate deployment and CI/CD pipelines
• Mentor junior team members and conduct code reviews
• Stay updated on cloud and microservices trends
• Provide production support as needed
