Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Competitive Intelligence Engineer to blend technical marketing with competitive analysis.

You will lead benchmarking of cloud and AI platforms, deploy workloads, and translate results into actionable intelligence for strategy and go-to-market efforts. Work with architects, product managers, engineers, and solution engineers to analyze products, influence roadmaps, and produce credible data-driven content for sales.

Qualifications

• 12 years of technical experience in cloud engineering, solutions architecture, DevOps, technical marketing, or presales.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Experience provisioning cloud infrastructure, networks, and containers.
• Ability to measure performance of AI/ML inference workflows.
• Ability to produce data-driven content for engineers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical evaluations of cloud and AI platforms, provision infrastructure, deploy workloads, measure performance, and document results.
• Develop and manage a benchmarking framework for AI inference workloads with KPIs.
• Assess competitor architectures, APIs, networking, storage, and orchestration while documenting performance.
• Produce battle cards, technical guides, and content for Sales and Presales grounded in verified data.
• Collaborate with Product Management to analyze cloud products and recommend roadmap items.
• Review and fact-check differentiation claims in marketing materials and decks.
