Job summary

Akamai Technologies seeks a Senior Competitive Intelligence Engineer to blend technical marketing with competitive analysis, provisioning cloud infra, deploying workloads, and documenting reproducible results.

You will build AI benchmarking frameworks, assess competitor architectures, and produce battle cards and data-driven content for Sales while collaborating with Product Management to influence roadmaps and go-to-market strategies.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of technical experience in cloud engineering, solutions architecture, DevOps, technical marketing, or presales
• Experience provisioning cloud infrastructure, configuring networking, deploying containers, and troubleshooting performance
• Experience operating AI/ML inference workflows and deploying model endpoints
• Ability to design reproducible tests and benchmark studies with clear documentation
• Ability to produce technical content for engineers and stakeholders
• Demonstrated honesty and credibility in presenting competitive findings

Responsibilities

• Conducting technical evaluations of cloud and AI platforms, provisioning infrastructure, deploying workloads, measuring performance, and documenting results
• Developing and managing a benchmarking framework for AI inference workloads
• Assessing competitor architectures, APIs, networking, storage, GPU availability, orchestration tools, and developer experience
• Producing battle cards, technical comparison guides, and content for Sales and Presales
• Collaborating with Product Management to analyze cloud products and inform roadmap items
• Reviewing and fact-checking differentiation claims in marketing materials and sales decks
