Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a System Development Engineer to join the Data Center Engineering team in the Herndon, VA area. You will design, develop, automate, and continuously innovate within our expanding data center footprint.

The role focuses on building scalable electrical and mechanical controls systems, improving uptime, and reducing cost while collaborating with cross-functional teams across the globe. A strong background in software development and systems design is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of programming in modern languages (C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby)
• 4+ years of non-internship software development experience
• 2+ years of designing or architecting scalable systems
