Job summary

Arcfield is seeking a Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Modernization Engineer to lead the ongoing modernization of a hybrid infrastructure. The role emphasizes hands‑on Linux (legacy RHEL) and Windows environments, enterprise backup, and strategic migration to cloud platforms.

The candidate will mentor junior staff, establish best practices, and drive security, reliability, and automation improvements while reducing technical debt across the enterprise.

Qualifications

10–12 years of enterprise infrastructure engineering experience with a BS degree.
Deep experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration, including legacy Linux environments.
Experience managing VMware virtualization platforms and enterprise backup/disaster recovery solutions.
Strong Windows Server administration, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
Proven experience leading infrastructure modernization or cloud migration efforts.
Strong systems analysis and troubleshooting, with clear communication.

Responsibilities

Administer and support legacy RHEL environments and optimize virtualization.
Maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Windows interoperability.
Assess aging infrastructure and develop cloud migration strategies.
Lead engineering efforts and mentor junior staff.
Support security, recovery, and incident response processes.
