Job summary

UJET is seeking a Senior Manager, Cloud Infrastructure to lead a team of engineers responsible for the production GCP and Kubernetes infrastructure powering our cloud-native SaaS platform. You will set technical strategy, guide senior staff, and own reliability, security, and cost efficiency of the cloud environment.

You will mentor engineers, define infrastructure standards, and partner with Platform, SRE, Security, and app teams to enable scalable, observable, and secure operations at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional engineering experience in cloud infrastructure with ownership.
• 3+ years of people management experience, hiring and leading senior engineers.
• Hands-on experience provisioning, operating, and troubleshooting production cloud infrastructure (GCP/Kubernetes).
• Experience with Terraform modules, remote state, and Git-based workflows.

Responsibilities

• Hire, coach, and retain a high-performing team of senior engineers.
• Own strategy and evolution of the cloud environment (GCP, Kubernetes).
• Provide technical direction for GCP organization, networking, and IAM.
• Own Kubernetes/GKE cluster strategy, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Set standards for Terraform modules, state, and change management.
• Establish security foundations (IAM, secrets) and observability practices.
• Ensure cost visibility and optimization across cloud spend.
• Lead upgrades/migrations with tested rollout and rollback plans.
