Oracle is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Core Infrastructure, to design and implement DNS control-plane services and APIs. You will craft reliable, scalable workflows for DNS zones, records, and routing, using Java and Python for automation.

Responsibilities include building distributed systems, focusing on API design, observability, and security, while collaborating with SRE, security, and data-plane teams for end-to-end platform improvements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience shipping and operating resilient production services.
• 4+ years building production-grade distributed systems, cloud services, or control-plane platforms.
• Strong proficiency in Java and API design including REST/OpenAPI specifications.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools and agentic workflows with sound engineering judgment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement control-plane services and APIs for DNS zones, records, views, policies, and routing configuration.
• Build workflows for validation, change orchestration, propagation, reconciliation, and lifecycle management across DNS infrastructure.
• Develop production services in Java with automation in Python and focus on API design and correctness.
